My aim is to enable students to -
1. understand, learn, practice and apply mathematical concepts
2. communicate their knowledge by demonstating their understaning of the process of working out the solution logically and
3. improve their results and achieve their learning goals.
About me
I am a qualified Maths teacher and an accomplished tutor based in Canberra, ACT with expertise, comprehensive understanding and strong grasp of academic concepts of Australian, NSW and Victorian curriculum.
With a thorough and extensive mastery of the maths curriculum and having completed Mathematics (Hons) degree, Bachelor of Education and several other courses to further develop an in-depth understanding of behavioural and intellectual theories along with differentiated teaching pedagogies, I have developed a range of strategies to prepare my students for excelling all academic assessments. With confidence, I can assure all parents that my students have shown a holistic growth and achieved their academic career goals.
I have been teaching since 2007. I have taught in various settings which include local high, primary and special needs schools as well as having international experience.
My tutoring style
All students have their individual needs and they learn differently, so I tailor my teaching strategies to enable my students to approach the questions and concepts in various ways to develop comprehensive knowledge, understanding and application.
I believe tutoring students based on what they need to learn at school. It allows students to build their confidence and perform well in assessments. I aim to fill the learning gaps as they arise. Each lesson, I provide my students some homework to practise and consolidate their learnings.
I focus on building relationships as a tutor based on trust and self-belief to provide stimulating teaching environment where my students can strive to reach their potential. Learning maths needs mutual effort from teacher, students and their families to encourage and remind students to put an effort in to achieve the results that they are aiming for.
